Nike 3D Generalist II in Beaverton, Oregon


  • Bachelor’s degree in Design/Art, 3D Art, Game Design or related field

  • 5 years’ experience successfully delivering results in a production or creative studio

  • Expert level proficiency in standard 3D software including game engines; Unreal preferred

  • Strong working knowledge of 3D modeling programs (Maya preferred) and Adobe CC (Substance Suite, Photoshop and Illustrator)

  • Experience in AR/VR/XR and or game design a definite plus


We are looking for professional 3D Generalists to join our Immersive Technology Team at Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. We are growing our capabilities to deliver real time immersive product experiences in our design to consumer process that push the boundaries of creativity and help Nike create the future of sport.

The 3D Generalist will use their experience in various 3D applications to develop, support, and implement virtual and immersive product experiences that includes a variety of different disciplines centered around environment art assets, rigging, animation, visual effects, lighting, and in engine setup. In-engine Tech Art such as particles, real time effects, custom shader creation, lighting and the implementation of art assets into version control software such as Perforce is also needed. (75-80%)

The 3D Generalist will work with the Immersive Team Lead to determine skills and knowledge development areas valuable to the team and can be applied to the team’s projects. This includes but is not limited to exploratory asset creation, working with department specialists, and documenting the findings. (20-25%)

On the daily, you will perform a diverse range of 3D responsibilities (i.e. animation, rigging, modeling, texturing, lighting, effects) to create and deliver immersive experiences with the team. You will concept new ways to present products and storytelling elements “in engine” while collaborating with design and technology teams.

Additionally, you will self-manage project resources and track project status to keep the team updated on progress. You will speak accurately to the work as needed and professionally represent the team.


You will work with your peers on the Immersive team, the broader Digital Product Creation Studio and our Design partners. You will also work with software development and Digital Product Creation teams to assist and support in the development cycle.
