Description

As our Apparel Technical development Intern, you'll join our Global Technical Development Team and learn the product creation process and calendar. You'll be assisting in fit and construction from initial concept through to commercialization. You’ll assist in the creation and revision of Tech Packs for assigned styles; ensuring all appropriate development documentation is maintained including product specs and prototype notes. You will be given projects where you will have the opportunity to create styles using digital technology. You'll work with tech developers to gather critical technical data/ define process to enable prototyping. You'll be required to help the team manage systems with data integrity and accuracy. You'll act as a key member of the team, helping to research and develop new styles using the latest technology.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in apparel design, pattern making, textile science or related field, or related interdisciplinary program/degree with expected graduation in Winter 2019 or Spring 2020

  • Strong knowledge in Adobe Illustrator preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Knowledge of pattern making, construction and manufacturing

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with proven track record

  • Strong communication (written, verbal, presentation) skills and ability to convey POV with logical, fact-based support

  • Must be self starter with high level of self awareness and curiosity

  • Must be comfortable with change, ambiguity, multiple concurrent deadlines and activities

  • Must have strong networking skills with ability to navigate through complex ecosystem

  • Must be outgoing, confident, but willing to learn
