As our Global Brand Communication Manager on Nike Running, you will create work that cuts through and connects, leveraging elite and everyday athletes, innovative products, and powerful enablement tools, to inspire our consumer. The ideal candidate is one-part strategic planner, one-part creative director, one-part producer & one-part digital storyteller.

As a member of the world class Brand Marketing team, you will partner and work closely with the Category Brand team, Brand Design, Digital, and Media teams. You will also serve as a critical connection point within the Global Brand Communication network, collaborating with the Geography and Territory teams while building strong day-to-day relationships with key agency, creative and production partners.

A critical role of the Global Brand Communication Manager will also be to lead the integration of Nike Running storytelling into the Nike Direct offense. This role will partner closely across Nike Direct, Nike Media, Brand Design and social teams to develop unique and compelling cross-channel expressions of ideas, delivering engaging, platform-specific content directly to our consumers. This role will ensure the overarching creative vision remains intact from ideation to execution across all relevant and valuable marketing channels and translates to tangible/measurable results.

An effective candidate must have a passion for and connection to sport and storytelling. The team member should also be proactive, creative, and solution-oriented. Good judgment and a thorough understanding of digital technologies, trends and the social media landscape are essential.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage creative strategy, briefing, creative development and delivery of storytelling for Nike Running products, athletes, sport and brand moments

• Partner with cross-functional teams brand design, digital, media as well as geographies and categories to maximize quality, impact and efficiency for all campaign efforts

• Manage timelines and deliveries throughout the entire creative process from strategy to delivery

• Work closely with the Nike Direct team to develop specific cross-channel expression for each campaign

• Build strong day-to-day relationships with key agency, creative and production partners

• Be a thought partner, leader and resource for the Running Category brand team

• Drive and report results that deliver against key campaign KPIs

• Be a positive and engaged member of the Global Brand Communication team

• Develop and share best practices for modern storytelling

• Partner with marketing and other stakeholders to develop and sharpen briefs and contribute to collaborative idea generation with cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree preferred

• 5+ years of work experience in brand marketing/social media/digital marketing/advertising at a brand and/or agency

• Must show a passion and natural curiosity for great creative and brand storytelling

• Proven ability to lead across advertising and storytelling, preferably within the footwear, apparel, sport, or fitness industry

• Well-versed in new and innovative media channels, and be an expert in finding a sharp POV, and interesting new ways to engage consumers in a big idea

• Demonstrated ability to apply these skills in innovative ways that elevate brand excellence

• Experience managing content production

• Strong understanding of digital technologies, trends and social media landscape

• Knowledge and sensitivity to trends influencing content creation and delivery

• Must be able to write creative briefs that clearly articulate communication objectives and success criteria in order to inform and direct agency work and creative development

• Connection to running culture and sport preferred

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to create and deliver presentations

• Ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines (Advertising, Design, Media)

• Demonstrated knowledge of entire campaign process from conceptualization through production

• Ability to travel 20%
