Nike Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) Governance Manager in Beaverton, Oregon


  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or a combination of relevant education, experience, and training specific to ITSM, Technology Operations, or governance.

  • 10+ years of Technology Operations experience

  • Minimum of 5 years in one of the following: ITSM, compliance, program management, operational risk management, audit, or implementation of control frameworks.

  • Experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM software solutions.

  • Experience and/or familiarity with technology delivery practices and continuous integration / continuous delivery.

  • 5+ years of people management experience or leading by influence in heavily matrixed environment

  • Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners with experience gathering concepts, status, and impact

  • Outstanding partnership, listening, written and verbal communication.


Service Management team is looking for a result driven inspiring leader to identify and address opportunities that enable increased ITSM maturity and compliance efforts. You will collaborate with various teams across geographies to establish best of class governance practices. Your experiences in driving process improvements, quality, and consistency with data will enable insights and optimize our performance. This role is responsible for the following:

  • Obsess about Nike’s ITSM standards, processes and compliance. Specify the decision rights and the mechanisms to develop IT behavior.

  • Collaborate with senior management in developing recommendations around policies, standards and framework for ITSM governance, and implement and maintain a process governance structure aligned to global standards.

  • Engage with the industry to learn about top practices, gain insightful competitive and regulatory intelligence to help build excellence in our governance and process initiatives. Design and implement policies and process used to establish strong foundational practices; while meeting business needs and balancing compliance with risk and cost.

  • Lead the strategy, management and alignment to ITSM concepts and behaviors across Nike’s IT services by collaborating on global standards that include service specific requirements. Partner with geographic collaborators to implement ITSM governance priorities and ensure accurate controls are established as well as activating the intake process for issue / changes related to new ITSM requirements.


Maintenance of ITSM, specifically Change, policy and controls. Collaboration with fiduciary governance and controls, information security and privacy to ensure compliance and consistency across policies. Lead teams to establishing principles, standards, methodologies and operational procedures to support our ITSM journey. Partner closer with platforms owners to drive tooling improvements that support initiatives. Seek opportunities for continuous improvement through data analysis.


You will report to the Director of Operational Readiness Standards and will be responsible for covering all governance areas in relation to ITSM capabilities.

You will work with several teams across the Nike matrix, including but not limited to Technology Operations, Privacy, Information Security, Engineers, Information Governance, Platform Owners, Business Owners, etc.
