What you bring Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, or combination of relevant education, experience and training

  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience in IT

  • Salesforce Admin 5+ years’ experience

  • SQL/MySQL/Snowflake 10+ years’ experience

  • Excellent knowledge of coding and architectural design patterns

  • Passion for troubleshooting, investigation and performing root-cause analysis

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to multitask in a high energy environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a python developer

  • 3+ years of experience in developing python scripts for Amazon Web Services

  • 5+ years of Salesforce Development (APEX, SOQL, and Flow)

  • 5+ years of Linux experience (RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu)

  • Github/Bitbucket

  • 10+ years of Server Administration (MCSE, MCP, etc.)

  • Working with APIs (REST, SOAP, etc.)

  • Agile development

  • 3+ years of Airflow experience

Nice to Have Skills

  • Python SDKs (Paramiko, Boto, CSV, Beatbox, BOX)

  • Working with different file formats (Flat Files, CSV, etc)

  • Encryption and Key Management

  • Proficient with various data sources and integrating them


CAO Technology is a rapidly growing engineering organization that supports Nike’s offensive line by partnering with the Chief Administrative Office (CAO) to mitigate risks for Nike. CAO Technology is seeking a Lead Application Engineer who will play a meaningful role in the development of technology to support Legal and Security capabilities. The successful candidate is self-motivated, technically proficient, and enjoys working in a fast-paced and often evolving environment.

What will you work on

We will focus on creating and delivering enterprise solutions for a variety of CAO capabilities such as Legal, Ethics & Compliance, Safety & Security. Working side-by-side with Technical Product Managers, Business Owners, and engineering teams we are modernizing current technologies and building new solutions to support the evolution of the business.

Who will you work with

This role is part of the Corporate Functions & Converse technology organization, supporting CAO. You will work with other application engineers, architects, data engineers, and others in Global Technology. You will participate as part of a great product team where you will interact daily with a product owner/manager, scrum master, and engineers. As part of this team, or squad, you will be working to create technology regularly in a collaborative and multi-functional paradigm. One of Nike’s maxims is “Win as a Team”. Core Responsibilities

  • Support existing application infrastructure in a lead engineer capacity

  • Provide business with technical expertise/assessment as new projects arise

  • Support several teams at once while maintaining high level of quality

  • Participates actively in agile practices by collaborating with product owners, Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, and other team members in such activities as grooming user stories with cross-functional development teams.
