  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Management, Computer Science, Science, Math, Economics, or other relevant field or combination of relevant education, experience and training

  • 4+ years of experience in business reporting and data analytics

  • A passion for using data to improve impact to consumers across multiple products or platforms

  • An ambitious attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and flexible environment on multiple concurrent projects where team members are based in multiple locations.

  • Project experience as a member of cross-functional, technical teams

  • Proficient in SQL, Python, and interacting with APIs

  • Shown experience with predictive analytics including statistics, time series analysis, and other sophisticated predictive techniques

  • Experience working with Tableau or other data visualization tools and a shown understanding of Excel

  • Airtable, Confluence, Jira, Google Analytics, Campaign Monitor and Miro boards experience a plus


We are looking for a Data Analyst II who is an excellent problem solver and is willing to roll up their sleeves to tackle any data challenge! This role will work across the Nike Sports Research Lab (NSRL) to democratize data and equip our users with the tools to act on data-driven metrics. This role requires a passion for informational and operational data, platform infrastructure, simplifying operations, and technical depth. The position will also serve as a liaison to various partners and communicate technical components of the data process to non-technical partners and external audiences.

A successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and maintaining dashboard experiences, operational reports and analytics to advise data-driven decisions across the entire organization. They will build reports and provide recommendations based on the assimilation of diverse and disparate data sets. This role must have a passion for data and the ability to effectively communicate complicated subjects concisely and coherently. This role serves a pivotal component in moving NSRL research forward by coordinating the study lifecycle and collecting consent from our subjects. In addition, this role will need to be to work successfully with a variety of internal and external partners and be able to provide valuable expertise and insight regarding the requested data.


  • Identify, design, document, and implement internal process improvements including automation, optimizing data delivery, and tuning of application design to improve the end-user dashboard experience. This includes the collection, recording, sanitization and analysis of data using best-in-class practices and industry standard processes in an evolving data platform.

  • Work with disparate data pools by joining different data sets, creating relations, synthesizing significant insights from data analyses and success and apply predictive techniques to anticipate business needs

  • Create easily interpretable and engaging ways to visualize Athlete and research operational data for on-time, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting.

  • Understand and anticipate the data requirements of internal partners needed to resolve the best approach to efficiently identify key performance indicators that are collected over time and across locations

  • Serve as the business owner for study lifecycle management, support NSRL teams, and surface business need to continuously improve and enhance software products. This also includes day to day administrative duties including distributing and electronic consents to study participants.


You will report directly to the Director of Data Management in the NSRL. Data Management is part of the broader Athlete Experience and Analytics team in the NSRL. You will work closely with NSRL research teams and NSRL Leadership. You will also be expected to collaborate closely with our NSRL Product Management and GOT partners.
