Nike Senior Mobile Release Engineer in Beaverton, Oregon

What you bring to nike

  • Experienced member of a mobile engineering team

  • Solid understanding of configuration management and release engineering practice

  • DevOps/Continuous Delivery experience is a big plus

  • Experience with the following or similar technologies: Python, Ansible, Jenkins, Docker, Linux, MacOS, iOS, Android, Splunk/NewRelic/Kibana

  • Experience with MDM, application signing, and deployment to app stores

  • Broad experience with automation, orchestration, and continuous integration tools

  • Experience with managing large environments

  • Top-notch communication and documentation skills

  • Research-oriented and methodical approach to implementing solutions

  • 2+ years professional experience with at least 2 years in build and release engineering

Who are we looking for

As a Senior Mobile Release Engineer, you will be part of the mobile release engineering practice across several application teams. This broader team of release engineers serves our direct to consumer and enterprise business. You will be a senior member of an engineering team responsible for training junior engineers, teaching design patterns, implementing and working towards standard methodology. We work in a fast moving, constantly changing environment and need people who are able to provide flexible, reliable, self-service, easy-to-understand release automation to our teams.

What will you work on

  • Design and implement automation and operate tools to allow for efficient, reliable releases

  • Follow standard methodology in close collaboration with the global team

  • Strong influencer with ability to interact with leaders and stakeholders

  • Work with a team to design sustainable deployment, packaging, and automation

  • Troubleshoot complex deployment and application issues

  • Support CI and source control systems

  • Maintain MDM systems, mobile infrastructure for iOS and Android, and itegration environments for application builds

Your role will include working with cross functional teams to understand the technologies we plan to implement and implementing proof of concepts to evaluate new mobile technology.
