WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor's degree or higher; or combination of relevant education, experience and training
6+ Years experience in retail leadership, buying, planning and/or inventory logistics
Be able to lift 30 pounds
Be able to stand for 8 hours
Be able to climb ladders
Contribute to the continuous improvement of inventory accuracy and establish KPIs
Identify root cause and process failures contributing to inventory errors
Own stewardship of product and completeness of inventory on campus (including temporary lockers and closets)
Must be able to work on Nike Campus
Operationalize samples buying and planning for the innovation lab so that Concepts, Functions and Geos will be able to use a proper seasonal assortment for planning and implementing end in mind assortments! Ultimately enabling the team to move faster, make better decisions and serve Nike consumers!
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Sr. Samples Buying and Planning Manager for the Stores Innovation Lab and will be responsible for creating and maintaining standard methodologies across all sample product sources. This role is the partner across concepts, merchandising, VMS and Samples teams across the enterprise. They are responsible for aligning with cross functional teams, landing the right assortment direction by concept and working with the Samples and Product manager to ensure on time seasonal samples purchasing. This role also participates in code in order to understand seasonal and product needs across the shops.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON Description of Deliverables
Work across key partners in Merchandising and VMS to land correct seasonal assortment for each concept mock shop
Work across the samples organization to operationalize and streamline the samples process for the innovation labs
Create the strategy for tracking and accurately planning for incoming inventory
At samples end of life working with the appropriate partners to move to the proper channels.
Participate in code gates prior to placing samples orders to understand seasonal direction and ensure impactful assortments in the buy.
Support global and geo teams in locating correct inventory and/or styles that support each seasonal initiative when in the lab.
Serve the needs of the tenants while observing policies and protocols for product access and availability
Work confidently in Smartsheet, Tableau and Excel
Document process standard methodologies & improvements areas and validate the effectiveness of actions taken
Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and training materials for new and existing staff to enforce accurate inventory operations
Identify and elevate risks, issues, roadblocks and suggest solutions
Supporting a culture of continuous improvement where teams are encouraged to inspire change
Proactively contribute to a problem-solving Product Management community
Ensure inventory processes meets or exceeds Nike product security standards
