As the Converse Global Demand Planning Director you’ll collaborate with Global Functional groups and Geography partners to drive integrated and consumer-focused business plans across varying levels and dimensions in the business. You will lead the forecasting process across multiple functions in support of fact-based, unbiased forecasts spanning across seasons and product engines.

The Global Demand Planning Director will also be the driving force in developing a Planning Roadmap for Converse as an organization; this is critical to the success of cross-collaborative planning alignment to include Product, Merchandising, Finance, and Sourcing. This role will strategically drive alignment across operations functions related to forecast handoffs as a subset of the Gameplan 2.0 initiative.

The Global Director of Demand Planning will collaborate with Geography DPIM leads to optimize best practices across the territories in support new and improved ways of working.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a robust planning process across engines to support multiple geographies and channels of distribution

  • Through influence, drive for alignment between Product, Finance, Merchandising, Marketing, and Operations to meet business targets in alignment with seasonal strategy and scope

  • Develop and/or foster matrix relationships to support process initiatives and long-term vision

  • Act as coach/mentor between cross functional partners to support the Converse enterprise while maintaining balance between Geos and Functions

  • Support strategic projects and initiatives to drive marketplace growth, speed to market, and revenue/margin driving opportunities

  • Act as unbiased voice for planning and process optimization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail, Finance or a related field.

  • 8+ years' experience in a planning and/or operations function

  • Direct people management experience

  • Athletic Footwear and Apparel Industry experience is preferred.
