WHAT YOU BRING

  • 3-5 years relevant work experience with a 4-year degree preferred

  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with a variety of personalities including senior level executives

  • Shown ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented, team environment with sometimes high levels of ambiguity and independence with sometimes varying working hours

  • Experience working with or for a facilities vendor

  • Desire to work in a team environment with local autonomy

  • Works well independently

  • Knowledgeable in facilities management of both hard and soft services

  • Ability to initiate, capture and analyze relevant data in order to inform future decisions and changes

  • Proven ability to organize, prioritize and appropriately handle multiple objectives with discretion and objectivity

  • Experience in Keynote, Smartsheet’s, CAFM Systems and Microsoft Applications

  • Strong desire to understand multiple aspects of the business to help inform departmental decisions

  • Ability to take initiative, follow-through on requests until completion, and apply a keen attention to detail

  • Previous experience working with budgets

  • Previous Nike work experience is a plus

  • Passion around Sport and Purpose

  • An understanding of Chicago and its surrounding areas

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Chicago Workplace Design and Connectivity (WD+C) Services Manager who has a proven ability to work in an ever evolving, results-driven, customer focused environment! This person can work cross-functionally across teams, has the desire to dig to understand the root cause of an ask and can work with empathy, agility and positivity. They have an eye towards equity, diversity and inclusion to capture and support all the people in the office. This candidate will bring experience in encouraging strong team culture and is solutions-oriented in their delivery. They can process the ability to collaborate with strategic partners as well as demonstrate patience and influence in navigating a matrix organization. Having an understanding of Chicago and the surrounding area and embracing being “of the city” with a strong passion to lead, learn and listen will be crucial to this role.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

From the onset, we see you as a key part of a team that will help implement the return-to-work strategy for Chicago and jump right into partnering with multiple functions to identify team needs and wants for the future workplace! Once we return to the workplace you will lead the facility operations team to deliver a seamless, premium experience for all employees through the lens of sport, health, purpose, diversity and growth. You should have a strong background in events and hospitality to coordinate local operations. Your typical day will be spent managing the ongoing operations of the building, ensuring the environment and experiences we offer are delivered at the highest level for all staff, visitors and guests. You are initiating new insights and innovations to better serve our Athletes* and be accessible to the office population for feedback and an understanding of the current climate of the office.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

If your career path has led you here, you’ll be part of the local Chicago team as well as part of our larger WD+C org that supports Nike Inc., across the globe, to develop and maintain the environments and experiences that you can only find at Nike. To accomplish this, you will team directly with the WD+C Americas team, local leadership and strategic service partners to manage all aspects of operations at the Chicago HQ building. Working through the Nike matrix, you’ll establish strong relationships with Technology, Security, HR and a combination of vendors and agencies as well as the Nike business units. Using these relationships, you’ll understand how to come to equitable solutions, for all, that are in line with our values, strategy and overall mission by using your knowledge of standard methodologies and informed by the needs of the business.
