Description

The Marketing Science team orchestrate a multi-disciplinary analytics offense in support of Nike Direct Marketing and Integrated Media teams, proactively identifying opportunities to maximize marketing effectiveness and efficiency, optimize targeted activations and measure membership impact across EMEA business (39 countries).

As a Marketing Data Scientist, you will be at the heart of our business and will help the team to make decisions that will drive performance, directly leading to the accomplishment of annual goals.

You will support Marketing Measurement sub-team by driving insights into business performance and potential. You will use SQL, web, and other analytics and data tools (R, Python, Tableau) to craft data-driven stories that will grow our business and/or enhance our consumers’ journeys using advanced data analysis.

You will support forecasting, incrementality and other forms of testing (for example, LTV, bidding strategies) within search, display and affiliates teams by drafting testing methodologies, supervising agency’s executions and performing data modelling yourself.

The Marketing Science team is closely involved with the Integrated Media team. Therefore, as a Marketing Data Scientist, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide number of stakeholders. This includes the channel teams managing Search, Display and Affiliates for EMEA and agencies involved in the execution. This role is a unique opportunity to have an impact on a large scale and not only requires strong technical knowledge but also project management and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-depth analysis like customer lifetime value, cross-channel attribution, sales forecast, and marketing mix modelling.

  • Establish and track metrics to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the media team with experimentation frameworks to assess incrementality.

  • Define and manage research and analysis programs to create data-driven insights about traffic patterns, search optimization, user experience and product selection.

  • Look for growth opportunities in the data, craft persuasive stories and visuals to support new business initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Approx. 2-4 years of relevant data science experience, ideally in an e-commerce environment

  • Advanced SQL command and fundamental knowledge of digital marketing along with strong Python or R (or any other statistical programming language) experience are a must have.

  • Tableau and/or Web analytics tools (Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics) would be considered as a strong advantage.

  • Proven ability to deal with large amounts of un-organized data, great team and communication skills, positive attitude, and strong motivation to learn.

  • Relevant marketing channel experience preferred, with DoubleClick and paid search being a strong advantage.
