Nike Planning Manager, Men’s Apparel – JD/FinishLine in Indianapolis, Indiana


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related field.

  • 4+ years of experience in planning with emphasis on retail business planning, reporting, and analytics.

  • 2 years additional experience, other relevant subject area, or equivalent combination of experience and/or education

  • Moderate to advance Excel skills.

  • Proven ability to sift through large amounts of data, identify critical information, analyze, and make recommendations.

  • Strong ability to influence through compelling communication.

  • Able to think critically and understand the potential of a product in the marketplace while identifying gaps to bottoms-up financial plan.

The Demand and Supply Management (DSM) team is responsible for ensuring every Nike athlete can access the product they want when they want it. DSM is revolutionizing how planning is done across Nike by ensuring Consumer Demand is Nike Demand.


We are seeking a Planning Manager within Nike and JD Finish Line Marketplace Unit! In this role, you will be at the heart of the Nike marketplace team focused on the Men’s Performance Footwear business. The scope of responsibilities includes providing in-season analysis, account management, and pre-season planning. You’ll bring high-energy, a self-starter mentality, and a strong ability to operate in ambiguous environments. Collaboration is key, you’ll proactively build positive relationships across the Nike organization. As a leader, you’ll embrace and lead change, cultivate innovation, and value differences.


On any given day you might be developing style-level retail sales and inventory plans to advise financial plans that will fuel assortments and influence buy decisions. You’ll also lead in-season optimization by growing allocations and partnering with account on the day-to-day business. Finally, you’ll keep a pulse on the business: analyzing sales results, preparing key item forecasts, handling order book, coordinating samples, and selling-in products seasonally. This work will challenge you to build sophisticated reports, as well as prepare, edit, and deliver assortment documents. You will enable success by collaborating with multiple cross functional internal teammates, buyers, and account leadership. Are you up for the challenge?


You’ll be a point person for the Nike Men’s Performance Footwear business at our Nike Office in Indianapolis, IN and report to the Men’s Planning Director. You’ll collaborate daily with a variety of groups and individuals including merchandising, merchandise financial planning, marketing, our marketplace teams as well as supporting our third-party wholesale account.
