More About This Role

Just as in sports, a Nike Head Coach always finds a way to get the best out of each individual on the team. You inspire your store leaders and associates with strong, clear communication. You seamlessly navigate all retail functions in ways that result in growing the business. Most importantly, you enable your team to deliver premium consumer experiences that foster brand loyalty.

As the Head Coach of a Nike Store, you will be responsible for overseeing the three Areas of Expertise that fall under the retail store umbrella.

  • Consumer Experience. With the consumer at the heart of everything we do, this team helps shape how outstanding service looks throughout the store, bringing the Nike experience—both physical and digital—to life for our fans every step of the way.

  • Athlete Services. This team ensures that our store employees have the tools they need to be successful in their day-to-day tasks, encouraging a vibrant and thriving work culture.

  • Product Life Cycle. From receiving in the stockroom to visual merchandising on the sales floor, this team ensures the consumer always has access to the right product at the right time.

What You Bring to Nike...

  • Six years of retail and/or customer experience

  • Four years of leadership retail experience and ability to drive a high level of consumer experience in a premium brand retailer

  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, build and lead high-performing teams

  • Extensive experience with retail operations, budgeting, planning, customer service, sales, and conflict resolution

  • Enthusiasm for engaging with consumers and inspiring them to become Nike Members

  • Digital literacy—desire to learn and adapt to technology needs with agility

  • Flexibility and willingness to work a combination of mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business

  • Physical requirements include the ability to twist, bend, squat, reach, climb a ladder, and stand for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Ability to communicate in English

  • High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of post-secondary education will be considered a plus
