What you bring

Qualifications

– Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related field or combination of relevant education, training, and experience

– Hands-on experience with Java/J2EE programming language

– Experience working in edge data centers.

– Excellent time management skills

– Experience with working on critical or large enterprise programs and projects.

– Matrix management

– Basic Project Management skills WMS, Supply Chain

– Advanced ability to manage unexpected changes

– Experience managing large projects and large technical teams

– Collaborative leadership

– Willing to work weekends and evenings is required

Preferred Qualifications

– Knowledge of Data Center Power and HVAC experience

– Nlyte

– Data Center standards

– Basic Network and Server skillsCloud

– WMS/ Manhattan is what Nike uses

– Industry-recognized IT Service Management certification (ITIL, COBIT, etc.)

Who we are looking for

As the Senior Data Center Technician, you will use your experience to manage the overall operations of Data Centers including all infrastructure support efforts in the logistics centers are being carried out through active monitoring and engagement with Operations and Tech teams. Provide support for on-site escalation of issues that would impact delivery to consumers, while facilitating speed of resolution. Maintain professional communication about all of these activities to leadership across all engaged teams. This person must be self-motivated and driven to consistently achieve desired results while working in a fast-paced ambitious environment.

What you will work on

– Manage and perform all critical and non-critical processes/maintenance and participate in predictive maintenance to maintain the health of the Data Center environment

– Assist in the Development of Road Maps, and technical strategy for (3) teams of (Engineering)(Project Managers)(Scrum Master) Team breakdown (7 staff per team)

– Help remove obstacles and roadblocks for the team

– Manage Vendors and co-ordinate vendor work Responsible for resource allocation planning

– Implement project action items to maintain and upgrade

– Keep data centers clean, clear, and professional

– Work flawlessly across teams with shared duties and multiple location directives.

– Monitor and control daily service ticket activity, service level, and KPIs

– Record, manage, and maintain accurate physical hardware inventory, including performing physical hardware audits

– Manage hardware warranty / RMA requests

– Find opportunities to innovate, extend and enhance service delivery everywhere possible

Who you will work with

– Manage Vendors and co-ordinate vendor work Responsible for resource allocation planning

– Monitor and report on Data Center systems (3) Teams of Engineering which entails onshore and offshore teams that work on critically important projects

– Excellent communications skills including demonstrable experience effectively communicating technical challenges and solutions to peers, customers, and clients

– The position will also require the ability to manage the operational delivery of NIKE, Inc. regional data centers, coordinate data center vendors, and direct multiple remote resources.
