Description

As our Marketplace Merchandise Manager for Kohls Mens and Boys Apparel Businesses, you will be a fundamental stakeholder in ensuring that seasonal stories & initiatives come to life. Your role will consist of building both short & long term strategic frameworks in concert with critical category merchandising & sales partners in North America. You will be a key member of the Integrated Account Team, working closely with your partners from sales, category, planning and brand.

The goal of the work is to:

  • Tell compelling assortments & stories at retail

  • Continue to foster a deeper connection with the consumer

  • Influence both geography & global partners to build consumer relevant product & assortments that drive profitable revenue growth for both Kohls & Nike North America.

You will leverage consumer focused assortments in order to align with the global vision while driving a clear segmentation/differentiation strategy in cooperation with your channel counterparts. You will develop and lead the overall merchandising vision for your business, create seasonal consumer right assortments and ensure you drive alignment internally and externally. The role will also require a strong retail math background, as financials will be a critical component in building profitable assortments, increasing SKU efficiency and driving top line revenue growth. In addition to the art and science, you will be responsible for having a finger on the pulse of the consumer to anticipate marketplace shifts and ensuring the ability to react quickly.

As the Merchandising Manager, you will be tasked with identifying key opportunities not only post booking deadlines but also after the assortments have landed at retail. This hindsight will be leveraged in order to influence future assortment direction. In addition, you will not only clearly communicate the Nike brand vision and assortment strategies to the retailer, but you will also work back with cross-functional partners upstream in order to define the consumer needs of the future downstream. Teamwork, adaptability, optimism, and strong communication and influence skills will be key skills to your success.
