Nike Lead Business HR Manager, Converse Asia in Shanghai, China

Who we are looking for

The Converse HR team is seeking a Lead Business HR Manager to support Converse Asia geography. We are responsible for providing solutions and advocacy to employees, managers, and senior leaders. We are looking for a passionate HR professional to execute and deliver key HR programs, practices and policies to the business, managers, and employees! HRBPs provide strategic consultation and coaching to Executive/Corporate leaders on organizational issues that contribute to growth of the business and the team. We need a HR professional who will serve as a key resource for employees through sensing, listening, providing mentorship and directing inquiries to the appropriate HR specialists. We are searching for an HR professional who thrives in ambiguity, is flexible and adaptable to change in a fast-paced organization and can demonstrate strong executive communication and presentation skills to communicate across all levels of the organization.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As HR Manager for Converse Asia, you will provide expert advice and coaching to leaders and their teams and drive a "manager excellence" mindset to ensure that strong leadership and a coaching culture permeates the organization. As a champion of change and agility, you will guide and coach the business leaders through change journeys.

You will develop strategic, effective solutions that are aligned with business strategies and objectives. This includes providing HR functional expertise on business strategies, as well as general business expertise, to managers and teams. In addition, you will also be part of planning and execution of talent bench creation, succession/ career planning and functional excellence.

You’ll build strong partnerships with Communities of Expertise (COEs) and Greater China HR teammates to collaborate effectively in designing and delivering team and talent solutions for the business.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

In collaboration with others, you’ll help build and implement Functional HR Strategy across multiple teams and business units! You will report to Director, Business HR Converse Asia but collaborate across all HR COEs.

WHAT YOU BRING

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field or a combination of relevant experience, education and training.

  • 8+ years of demonstrated business-facing HR experience.

  • 4+ years in an HR Business Partner or similar role.

  • Well-developed industry knowledge, market insight, and proven enterprise thinking.

  • Demonstrable experience developing partnerships with business leaders, particularly in helping them manage significant organizational change during periods of realignment and growth.

  • Ability to coach and communicate across all levels of a matrix organization.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity.

  • Flexible and adaptable to change in a fast-moving organization.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting retail and/or corporate HR.

  • Experience leading or partnering with Org Design/Org Effectiveness, Talent Management, Employee Relations, Recruiting, and Total Rewards.

  • Proven experience setting and leading complex organizational effectiveness and design initiatives, as well as multi-year talent strategies.
