Job Description

Brand Narrative is a multidisciplinary team of creative experts who work with internal and external creative partners to deliver holistic messaging across all channels. They lead strategic and creative development of Nike’s Brand Voice, and drive narrative excellence and collaboration across multiple projects simultaneously to ensure that all work is executed against the strategy. They work fully end-to-end, including strategy, ideation, film, audio and headlines to ensure that the story is crafted and delivered masterfully. The core responsibility of the Narrative team is Brand Voice through Brand Strategy, Advertising / Content, Scriptwriting & Copywriting.

Overview of the Job:

The Lead Narrative will play an integral role in shaping the future voice that expresses the heart and soul of the Nike brand, leveraging athletes*, products and services to inspire and invite our consumer to love sport. They will assist in the development of creative concepts and storytelling across the Greater China.

He/She will work with internal and external creative partners to deliver holistic messaging across all channels and consumer touchpoints. Together with the narrative function lead, they will drive strategic and storytelling excellence and collaboration across multiple projects, ensuring the work is executed against the seasonal strategy. He/She will work across different mediums, including but not limited to film, photography, and audio to ensure that the narrative is crafted and delivered masterfully in a channel-right manner. They are exceptional team players with passion to learn and grow their strategic, creative, and production experience.

Reporting Line:

Report to Brand Creative lead

Job Responsibility:

  • Long-Term Consumer Concepts, Seasonal Category Stories // Working closely with key stakeholders to align and plan in the execution of Seasonal creative. Leading the adaptation and extension of global concepts to ensure relevancy to the China marketplace, as well as the origination of local concepts.

  • Quickstrikes & Reactive Creative // Working closely with key stakeholders to align, plan and support in the execution creative that celebrate sport, athlete, and cultural moments,.

  • Working closely with key stakeholders to create seamless O2O journeys across the Nike Ecosystem.

  • Drive the E2E integration and ensure consistent communication across all channels.

  • Demonstrate the leadership that could foster effective teamwork and achieve excellence.

Functional Skills Required:

  • Clear communication in written and oral form, in both Mandarin and English.

  • Ability to project manage timelines and budget, with understand of the general production process across multiple formats.

  • Ability to craft compelling presentations in articulating a point of view.

  • Creative judgement/direction: Must be a good judge of creative with the ability see potential and make improve on ideas

  • Working in complex organizations where collaboration across multiple teams is necessary

Experience Required:

  • Bachelor degree

  • 10+ years of experience working in creative agency or related job functions.
