Nike Tmall User Experience Sr. Manager in Shanghai, China


  • A minimum of 8 years of professional experience. Strong ability in UX design and typography, preferably with experience in digital consumer products, Especially the Tmall.

  • Strong vendor management and program management skills and experiences.

  • This person must be highly knowledgeable in the cultural understanding of local Chinese behavior.

  • The ability to refine other people’s ideas and come up with new ones to create a highly designed visual experience.

  • Expert level skills in Figma or Sketch , Adobe XD and other relevant design tools.

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in the digital/e-commerce design field.

  • Good at communication. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively the design process, design solutions to the team.

  • Will be better fluent both in Chinese & English (written & verbal)

Position Summary:

  • This is a leadership role for Tmall platform flagship stores UX and UI team.

  • The primary focus of this position is to define strategy of Tmall platform official online store user journey and user interface design and lead the team to bring the strategy to life.

  • As a UX expert leader of Tmall platform, you need to analysis of business requirements as strategic insight and transforming into UX/UI design solutions. Lead the creative agency to deliver the design. One of the key aspects of your role is a thorough understanding of the right balance between business, design and Chinese customers and serving our brand’s purpose, business missions and customer needs.


  • Your responsibilities will focus on leading the team to improve the NIKE Tmall store consumer experience. Include UX and UI. You will use your knowledge, expertise and skills help our users successfully navigate and become comfortable with our store. Meanwhile, use the design knowledges to solve business problems. Work collaboratively with cross-functional team to ensure a consistent, integrated brand perception and user-experience.

More responsibilities in detail:

  • Develop Tmall store user journey strategy and roadmap under guidance. Generate clear ideas, concepts and designs of creative assets from beginning to end. Responsible for the implementation of the projects on the roadmap.

  • New features design: Ensure design opportunities are framed correctly, and that solutions are robust, steeped in clear rationale and intentional, balancing and understanding of the business, and technological impact of design choices.

  • According to the campaign calendar, Support platform team, design and optimize the key campaign’s journey, like 11/11 and super brand day within current platform framework.

  • Ability to read and analyze the data. And combine the data and business & consumer feedbacks to the journey optimization.

  • Partner with and manage our external agencies to translate business strategy into creative solutions.

  • Staying in the loop and on top of the latest standards, changes, trends in visual design field.

  • Leading, coach and develop the team of UX functional expertise.
