We’re looking for a Lead, Partner/Omnichannel Marketing Professional to join our Tokyo-based marketing team. Focusing on the sneaker specialty, the Neighborhood (NBHD) and style specialty, the Runway (RNWY) retail channels, experience with in-store and online communication planning, seasonal execution of experiences and account relationship management are critical to this role.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

As part of Retail Marketing team, you will lead the NBHD & RNWY channel strategies and work on programming the seasonal direction for retail partners. You will work alongside the Authenticators marketplace team to execute our brand priorities and push the edges of culture. You will lead seasonal and non-seasonal marketing plan development, agency briefing and providing direction for implementing execution across Japan.

You will be contributing to weekly exchanges with multiple teams across Nike to share ideas, best practices, and learnings. You will also manage annual marketing budget for NBHD & RNWY marketing to maximize resources and deliver on time.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

You will report directly into the Senior Manager, Partner/Omnichannel Marketing Japan and will be a key member of the Retail Marketing team. You will partner with internal and external functional teams to improve brand and product storytelling and cultivate omnichannel marketing campaigns that elevate our NBHD & RNWY partners. You will work closely with Visual Merchandising and EKIN within Retail Marketing while partnering with Brand Management to answer briefs on our biggest brand priorities in collaboration with Digital Marketing and Brand Creative. You will partner closely with the Japan NBHD & RNWY marketplace teams as well as Asia Pacific-Latin America (APLA) teams. You will manage agency partnerships and allocate channel resources to continuously evolve our marketplace offense.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree or anything equivalent.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in brand management, retail or digital marketing.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills (in both English and Japanese).

  • High interest or background in sports, youth culture, sneakers, fashion and streetwear trends.

  • Project management experience managing agency partners, vendors and budgets.

  • Strategic thinker and idea generator with excellent attention to detail.

  • Analytical skills to gather business, consumer insights and apply learnings.

  • Domestic travel is required to visit agency partners and partner stores once per season. International travel might also occur a couple of times per year, depending on the business situation.
