Nike Supply Chain experts ensure that every year 900 million pieces of footwear, apparel and equipment arrive at the right destination on time. That’s no easy task. Description

In this role, you are responsible for leading your team and to manage the strategy, direction and implementation of customs & trade programs, including day-to-day compliance operations. You will develop, lead, coach, drive and inspire your team. You will organize and control effectively and add demonstrable value to the department in the execution of customs & trade processes. The Director Customs & Trade will coach, inspire and develop you further, meaning that your talent will never cease to grow.

Successful candidates will possess strong Leadership and management skills, analytical capabilities, deep communication skills, and a passion for E2E supply chain operations. You will also have a strong service mindset, the ability to look end-to-end across the value chain and think from the consumer . Additionally, they will demonstrate the ability to collaborate with different functions across a matrix organization, focus on achieving practical business impact and work at both working team and executive levels.

As a trade Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Demonstrate strong leadership that excels inestablishing solid teams and driving performance.

  • Lead,manage and support your team in day-to-dayoperations.

  • Developmethodologies to measure and ensure operationalKPI’s are being met.

  • Monitorchanges in regulatory requirements, determine impact to the organization andcoordinate implementation of complianceplan.

  • Developand maintain a comprehensive self-assessmentaudit plan considering risk areas, operational processes and managementreporting.

  • Workwith and maintain strong connection to Global Trade Department (WHQ) andGovernmental and Public Affairs (GPA) in Brussels.

  • Developand maintain a respectful, and positive relationshipwith authorities at all levels.

  • Theposition is based near Antwerp, Belgium.

  • Minimumof 5 years’ experience in leading ateam for a major organization.

  • Strongcross-functional management capability to drive timely business impact workingwith diversified teams.

  • Strong people management capability.

  • Biasfor action, drive for results while demonstrating positive attitude andenthusiasm.

  • Effectivecommunication and strong interpersonal skills, with capacity to interact withall levels in the organization.

  • Provenknowledge and experience with customs& trade compliance processes.
